This week-end, Paul started “playing” with a toy… Daddy put a little ring in his hand and I would keep it for several minutes at the time… he can keep things in his hands. Up to now, he held our fingers pretty well, especially when eating, but we had never tried with a toy. He is far from being able to really play with it, but holding it is a start.
Also, Saturday was a beautiful Spring day and Daddy and Paul enjoyed the sun and warm air (relatively speaking… remember that we are in New England!) seating on the patio.
Ce week-end, Paul a commencé à
“jouer” avec un jouet… Papa lui a mis un petit anneau dans une main et il l’a gardé pendant plusieurs minutes, et ce plusieurs fois de suite…Il peut garder des petites choses dans ses mains. Jusqu’à maintenant, il tenait nos doigts vraiment bien, surtout pendant qu’il mangeait, mais on n’avait jamais essayé avec un jouet. Il est loin de pouvoir vraiment jouer avec un jouet, mais pouvoir le tenir est un début.
En plus, nous avons eu un temps printanier samedi. Du coup, Papa et Paul ont profité du soleil et de la chaleur (tout étant relatif, nous habitons en Nouvelle Angleterre après tout!) pendant quelques mimutes sur le deck.

Last week-end, we went to visit Eric’s parents who live in Boothbay, Maine. Since my Mum was visiting as well, we had 3 grand-parents who wanted to spend time with their grand-son, which meant… a little vacation for Mommy and Daddy!
Paul spent quite a lot of time awake and very curious about the world. He also got to try out the swing that his Daddy used when he was his age… and he loved it!
Le week-end dernier, nous sommes allés rendre visite aux parents d’Eric qui habitent à Boothbay, dans le Maine. Puisque ma mère était là aussi, nous avions 3 grand-parents prêts à passer du temps avec leur petit-fils, ce qui voulait dire… vacances pour Maman et Papa!
Paul a passé beaucoup plus de temps éveillé et très curieux du monde qui l’entourait. Il a aussi pu tester la balançoire que son Papa avait utilisée quand il avait le même âge…il a adoré!

Paul has more and more awaken times during the day (and night!). Here he was enjoying some tummy time… enjoying might not be the word… wondering why he is in this position might be more accurate!
Paul est de plus en plus éveillé pendant la journée (et la nuit!). Sur la photo, il profitait d’un bon moment sur son ventre… profiter n’est peut-être pas le bon mot… se demander ce qu’il fait dans cette position serait peut-être plus correct!
