Last week-end, Paul turned 6 months old… time flies!
We had a fun time visiting the Saint Gaudens National Park with a friend who was visiting from Maine. Paul loved looking at all the flowers.
Le week-end dernier, Paul a eu 6 mois… le temps passe si vite!
Nous avons célébrer cet évènement en allant au parc national Saint Gaudens, avec une amie qui venait du Maine. Paul a tout particulièrement aimé regarder et toucher les fleurs de toutes les couleurs.

A little over a week ago, Paul started rolling from his tummy to his back and then 5 days ago, he managed to roll from his back to his tummy (he found the way to put his arm out of the way!). It will not be long before he can really go places… we better pay attention to the little guy now!
Here is a “rolling” sequence.
Il y a un peu plus d’une semaine, Paul a commencé à se rouler du ventre vers le dos. Il y a 5 jours, il a réussi à se tourner du dos sur le ventre (il a trouvé le moyen de dépasser l’obstacle du bras!). Ca ne va pas être long avant qu’il ne soit vraiment mobile… il va falloir que l’on fasse attention au p’tit homme!

June 21st was Father’s day. To celebrate Eric’s first Daddy’s day, we all went for a train ride from White River Junction to Thretford in an old train car. The round trip lasted about 2hrs and allowed us to have a great view of the Connecticut river. That was Paul’s first train ride and he loved it! He refused to nap during the entire time… “too many things to look at and discover” he said. His eyes were going everywhere, trying to memorize as much as possible.
Here are a couple of shots from the trip.
Le 21 juin était la fête des Pères. Pour célébrer sa première fête, Paul et moi avons emmené Eric pour faire une balade en train de White River Junction à Thretford dans un vieux wagon. L’aller et retour a duré deux heures et nous a permis d’avoir une très bonne vue de la rivière Connecticut. C’était le premier voyage en train pour Paul et il a adoré. Il a refusé de faire la sieste pendant tout le trajet… “il y a trop de choses à regarder et à découvrir”, dit-il. Ses yeux étaient partout, à essayer de mémoriser le plus de choses possibles. Voici deux photos du voyage.

Many things happened this past month, Paul is growing so fast, it is incredible. He is really good at grabbing things and tasting everything he touches, but he is also getting better at doing some push-ups and getting his arms strong.
Beaucoup de choses se sont passées le mois dernier, Paul grandit à une vitesse incroyable. il est maintenant très bon à attraper ses jouets et à gouter tout ce qu’il touche. Il améliore aussi ses pompes afin de muscler ses petits bras.

Paul likes to seat on the couch and he can actually stay upright for a little while.
He is growing up fast!
Paul aime être assis sur le canapé et il peut rester droit pendant un bon moment.
Il grandit vite!

Paul is 3 months old!
Time flies!
Yesterday was so nice that the family went for a walk outside. Paul was really happy and enjoy looking at everything he could see around him.

Le temps passe trop vite!
La meteo était tellement belle que toute la famille a été se promener dehors. Paul était très heureux et en a bien profité pour regarder tout ce qui se passait autour de lui.

This week-end, Paul started “playing” with a toy… Daddy put a little ring in his hand and I would keep it for several minutes at the time… he can keep things in his hands. Up to now, he held our fingers pretty well, especially when eating, but we had never tried with a toy. He is far from being able to really play with it, but holding it is a start.
Also, Saturday was a beautiful Spring day and Daddy and Paul enjoyed the sun and warm air (relatively speaking… remember that we are in New England!) seating on the patio.
Ce week-end, Paul a commencé à
“jouer” avec un jouet… Papa lui a mis un petit anneau dans une main et il l’a gardé pendant plusieurs minutes, et ce plusieurs fois de suite…Il peut garder des petites choses dans ses mains. Jusqu’à maintenant, il tenait nos doigts vraiment bien, surtout pendant qu’il mangeait, mais on n’avait jamais essayé avec un jouet. Il est loin de pouvoir vraiment jouer avec un jouet, mais pouvoir le tenir est un début.
En plus, nous avons eu un temps printanier samedi. Du coup, Papa et Paul ont profité du soleil et de la chaleur (tout étant relatif, nous habitons en Nouvelle Angleterre après tout!) pendant quelques mimutes sur le deck.

Last week-end, we went to visit Eric’s parents who live in Boothbay, Maine. Since my Mum was visiting as well, we had 3 grand-parents who wanted to spend time with their grand-son, which meant… a little vacation for Mommy and Daddy!
Paul spent quite a lot of time awake and very curious about the world. He also got to try out the swing that his Daddy used when he was his age… and he loved it!
Le week-end dernier, nous sommes allés rendre visite aux parents d’Eric qui habitent à Boothbay, dans le Maine. Puisque ma mère était là aussi, nous avions 3 grand-parents prêts à passer du temps avec leur petit-fils, ce qui voulait dire… vacances pour Maman et Papa!
Paul a passé beaucoup plus de temps éveillé et très curieux du monde qui l’entourait. Il a aussi pu tester la balançoire que son Papa avait utilisée quand il avait le même âge…il a adoré!

Paul has more and more awaken times during the day (and night!). Here he was enjoying some tummy time… enjoying might not be the word… wondering why he is in this position might be more accurate!
Paul est de plus en plus éveillé pendant la journée (et la nuit!). Sur la photo, il profitait d’un bon moment sur son ventre… profiter n’est peut-être pas le bon mot… se demander ce qu’il fait dans cette position serait peut-être plus correct!

Paul has celebrated his 1st month not too long ago. Here are two pictures…and yes, he sleeps a lot (but not really during the night!)
Paul a fêté son premier mois il n’y a pas très longtemps. Voici deux photos pour marquer l’occasion… Et oui, il dort beaucoup (mais pas trop pendant la nuit!).
